Major Problems

Firefox-bin is unstable on amd64. Crashes a lot, and unable to properly quit. Reason unknown yet.

amd64 installation on Core 2 Duo seems slow. It *is* fast, but one would expect better performance from such a configuration.

Normal Problems

A 64-bit client JVM is not available. Maybe it will be included in Java 1.7 but it's unlikely and anyway it's still far away.

TexLive (2007 and later) support in Gentoo would be very nice.

Minor Problems

Better ALSA support in Wine. This is probably going to be fixed soon.

kdesvn causes a bug in Konqueror DCOP. This is already fixed in KDE 3.5.6.

Starting ALSA at boot writes the message: "XXX: Write TLV" to the console. This will hopefully be fixed in a future release of alsa-utils.
