Major Problems

amd64 installation on Core 2 Duo seems slow. It *is* fast, but one would expect better performance from such a configuration. This seems to be a RAM problem more than anything else; ATA drivers also maybe.

Normal Problems

A 64-bit client JVM is not available. Maybe it will be included in Java 1.7 but it's unlikely and anyway it's still far away.

TexLive (2007 and later) support in Gentoo would be very nice.

Monitor cannot go on suspend mode with amd64 + nvidia drivers. Fix seems to be in Xorg 7.2.
